We are thankful for the opportunity to share the Good News with each and every child and the impact it will have upon them the rest of their lives. AWANA is truly a way to reach the children and have a positive impact on their life.
AWANAs is for children Kindergarten - Grade 6. This program affords great fun while teaching God's Word to all the children. AWANAs gives each child the responsiblity for learning Scripture and at the same time having lots of fun and earning reward points to be redeemed at the AWANA store. Earn points for participating in the special event nights, bringing your handbook, Bible, wearing your uniform, and the most for signing off of your memory verses!

Little Disciples

Little Disciples is a "Mother's Day Out" program provided for preschoolers on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm with before and aftercare available beginning at 7:30 am and ending at 5:30 pm. From 9:00 to 2:00 scheduled activities are followed and the WeeLearn curriculum from Lifeway is used for the older children.
It is for ages 6 months - Pre-K, and the preschool calendar follows the Van ISD school calendar beginning 1 week prior to school starting and ending on the last day of school.
The registration fee per semester is $40 and is non-refundable. To enroll your child applications can be picked up at the church office or email Julie Johnson at fbclittledisciples@ymail.com.

We recognize that Jesus loves children!
We provide committed adult leadership and
lay a spiritual foundation for a lifetime of growing.
We teach Bible truths through
methods designed for children.
Sundays at 9:00 am we have child care for
Birth through Age 2.
Beginning at Age 3 children
attend Bible classes by age or school grade.
First Baptist, in the interest of protecting our young children, requires all workers who work with minors to attend training and permit background checks to be done prior to service with children.
